Weeks #53-#58 . . . Lotsa Photos, Phone calls and One letter!

September 16th, 2019 . . . Week #58 . . . in Punta Arenas!

Whats up gang!!? Just kidding, What's up Mom?!!! I know you're the only one still reading these things! :))) Sorry i haven't written a letter in a couple months but i promise i have kept good record of my whole mission in journals!! So you guys will hear lots of stories in 1 year haha!

This week we decided to take a shortcut on the way to lunch through a swampy area and we had to jump over a river. I easily jumped it and my comp tried to take another faster route to get over the river an easier way and in doing it, the rock fell from under his feet and he fell into the river and was completely soaked in the water and mud and ultimately made us late for all of our appointments and visits. I died laughing and couldn't control myself for a couple hours but now looking back at the experience i have tried to make it a learning experience. We shouldn't take shortcuts in the mission or in this life to do something "the easier way" but this gospel has such a perfect order and we should follow it exactly how it is written in the book. Doing everything step by step, day by day, piece by piece and as we follow with exactness the Savior will be "obligated" to bless you for our work. If we wanna make the most of these 2 years we can't cut corners but go all in and follow every rule, keep every commitment, follow every invitation! If we want to make the most of this life we can't do everything the easy way but we need to do it the right way.(D&C 82:10) (2 Nephi 28:30)

This week we also had a special zone conference with Elder Mark A Bragg from the seventy and i was asked to direct the meeting and sit up on the stand with him and my mission president! It was a very cool experience and i received such a strong witness of their authority. They truly are called of God and it didn't even matter what they said but everything they said was backed so powerfully by the spirit. Something i liked a lot that he talked about in the conference and a scripture that has been on my mind a lot was Romans 8:35-39. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ! EVER!!!! That is a cool promise:)

This week we found a new family knocking doors and have already taught them 3 times and now they are on vacation in Concepcion and are going to go visit the temple gardens and send us pictures.:) I felt such a peace this week that families are forever and that the importance of the work i am doing right now in giving these families their chance! We also showed this family Tanner's new song Merrilee and i explained to them the whole story and they started to cry and talk about how beautiful it is that we have the knowledge we do.:) (The song made me cry too haha. Good job tanner!)

This church brings me happiness. I feel a lot better with Spanish. Idk how much longer ill be here in Punta arenas! :( I want to invite you all to write in your journals TODAY!!! Be better every day!!!

It's independence day which is the biggest celebration of the year in Chile Wednesday! We are not going to be able to knock doors or do much but it will be kinda a fun interesting week! LOVE YOU ALL!
