LETTER #35 . . . General Conference and sang in a choir!

CONFERENCE WAS SO AWESOME!!! My favorite talks were Elder Holland's talk about the sacrament and Kyle L Mckays talk on immediate blessings!!! I challenge you all that read this (mom and dad) to go back and listen to those talks again! Conference is modern day scripture/revelation for our day . . learn how to apply what you learned into your life! Faith with action, now go do something with everything you learned! ALSO A 3RD TEMPLE IN CHILE WOOHOO, the gathering of israel is happening!!!
Other than General Conference we had district meeting and zone conference which are both an 1.5 hour bus ride away from our area! Im getting out of my comfort zone and i sang at zone conference the hymn Acompañame with my zone leader Elder Menden and our 2 sister leaders in front of everyone and i had to sing a part by myself! (imagine insecure and super shy elder Townsend haha) Anyways, we didn't have a ton of time to work in our area this week cause we had so many meetings and conferences.

We heard that if you show a baby a picture of Christ that they recognize the picture and we put it to the test this week with a guy we are teaching's baby and it is so TRUE!!! Every time we showed this little baby Dante the picture of Jesus he just got so happy and would start kissing the picture. A kinda funny but powerful testimony of where we came from before this life.

I will be on the look our for your package!! THANK YOU MOM, I LOVE YOU!!! Also good because my nails are wrecked right now! 

Woah it's a different group and condo now!!! It makes me sad that i wont go get to see that condo again. Tell grandpa when i get back i expect him to take me on a trip or something cause he sold the condo. :) It looks like you guys had fun, i miss the relaxing trips like that to St. George!!! It made me miss you guys soso much thinking about y'all in St. George!!!

WOAH! Mrs. clark got married?? To who?? That's so awesome! I don't think she remembers me but if you see her you should tell her i say hello and that when i get back i want to come hang out with all her students!!!

YOU'LL HAVE TO SEND ME YOUR AND DAD'S TALKS ON MOTHER'S DAY!!! I will probably get to talk to you guys that day! 

If you end up sending stuff to me through my comp's package, I need vitamins, i have been eating the same thing every day! Also i want more pictures of my friends and family and pictures of me with members! It's super expensive to print pictures here!

We have a baptism this SATURDAY!!! Everyone pray for the guy we are teaching Jorge Gallardo!! He truly is a miracle story and is a convert that I'm sure will stay a strong member of the church! He might know the doctrine better than i do haha! When we teach him lessons we read out of the book Our Search For Happiness or we read stories out of the bible!! After a long week of us working super hard and being super obedient and having no success he walked into church and told us that he wanted to be baptized!!! AND WE HAD NEVER MET HIM YET!!! He had a baptism date before i knew his name! Blessings through work and obedience!

MOM, THE LETTER I SENT YOU LIKE 4 MONTHS AGO IS STILL IN CHILOE BUT I AM TRYING TO TALK TO MEMBERS TO GET SOMEONE TO SEND IT! One day you will see that letter!!!!!

So awesome to hear about all these kids going on missions!!! I am excited to come back and help spen get ready for the mission! When was the last time you fed the missionaries?? ALSO WHY DO MISSIONARIES START CONFERENCE RUMORS HAHAHA!

LETTER #19 . . . new comp and new investigators!!

Hello friends and family!  Miss u tons!!! This week i got a new companion and we started working super hard from the very first minute together! His name is Elder Arnett and he is from Arizona. i think it's kinda weird to be able to have normal conversation with someone throughout the day in my native language. I hope i'm not forgetting how to talk to people haha. This week we found and taught 11 new investigators in 3 days which are crazy numbers in Gamboa!! I think a couple of these people have totally been prepared for us and will get baptized! I have learned this week that if you want success that you have to face twice as much rejection. This week more than any other time in my mission i have seen so many doors slammed but also we met so many people ready for our message! Lesson= work hard + face rejection= success!!! LETTER #15 . . . HELLO Y'ALL!

Hi Y'All! This week i was getting my haircut with a cool member and I let him taze me with this cool police taser and my bum hurt the whole haircut so that was cool! :/  The weather is starting to get a little bit warmer which is so cool but it's still cold and rains just about every day haha!  I think it's hard for me to learn Spanish because i am trying to learn Chilean Spanish from a comp that's from Ecuador that mixes in Creole and English and Ecuador slang in his sentences haha but i am figuring it out and my Spanish really is SLOWLY getting better!  This week was really happy and the work is getting a little bit better because I am making my comp walk instead of taking taxis everywhere and we have been meeting so many people!! We try to go somewhere cool every pday but it's always bad weather but hopefully soon i will have cool pictures to show you guys!!!  I sometimes wake up and work out and just start reading scriptures for a couple hour...

LETTER #6 . . . last letter from Mexico MTC . . GOODBYE MTC!

Hello everyone!  Goodbye to the MTC and to this awesome district!   I miss you all and hope everyone is happy and healthy! The MTC is so humbling and has helped me so much to become disciplined but also i am going crazy just sitting here all day!! I check into recepcion to leave this place at 3am Monday morning and have an 8 hour flight to Santiago. When we get to Santiago we have a 21 hour layover and i think will be sleeping in a hotel. After the layover we have a 1-2 hour flight to Osorno and i am not really sure what happens after that but i will keep you all updated.  Bobo with Anne and John Pingree from the Seventy . . . guest speakers at their devotional! This week was by far one of the most boring weeks but i seriously still loved it so much and i am learning so much!
