LETTER #28 . . . radio show opportunity and English class!

Sorry that i was not able to call you. I was shocked when i heard the new news by the church  honestly and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out!!! We have Nokia phones that  can't call out of Chile and we write in little computer shops without cameras.... I think this  news might benefit elders in the states and other places more haha. But i will be happy to be  able to talk to you guys:) This week we did something fun. There are 2 people we are teaching, one named Jose Luis and  the other named Maikel and they are actually radio show hosts in Calbuco so we actually got to  be interviewed and got to talk about our purpose here as missionaries and why we are out here!  It was super cool and now we are going to go every week to read a scripture on the radio!!!!  I am teaching an english class in Calbuco every week and the passed weeks these 2 super cool  18 year olds that taught themselves english have come and we just tell stories in spanish for the  whole class and i correct their grammar but it makes me miss telling stories in english. I downloaded a lot of conference talks and listened to A LOT this week and i feel dumb because  it is literal scripture of this current moment that i feel i haven't taken a lot of advantage of. The  prophets are so filled with the spirit and its so cool to me that they can always be in tuned with  the gospel like they are. The mission is awesome and sometimes i will be sitting there teaching a lesson half in spanish,  half in Creole and i think to myself.... How do i know these words???? But the gift of tongues is  real and i am so grateful and happy to have this opportunity!!! This week we got invited to a  Evangelical church of Haitians so hopefully we will be able to go to that and i will let you all  know how it goes!!!  How are you all doing with the come follow me every Sunday? Tell dad i say thank you for finally taking you on the date Mom!!! New Orleans seems cool  and that feeling you had of all the craziness in the world is how i felt for the first month of my  mission haha!! I can relate! ps. I LOVE YOUR PICTURES THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!! I don't always acknowledge them but i  love them and look at them every week. Spencer is driving ahhh!!! I truly am kinda sad we are selling the truck.. If you havent sold it yet  can you take a bunch of pics and send them to me?? Thats crazy about the earthquakes. Hopefully that big earthquake does not happen right now. I  have still never felt an earthquake!!!! Maybe during the mission?? A couple years ago a bunch of  people died to a volcano in one of the cities in my mission.... crazytown! U know how i feel about spencer getting the car but that is ok haha:)  I LOVE YOU GUYS LOTS. How are you doing with come follow me and fam scripture study???
