This is Britt's Mom, Mardi. We never did get a letter from Britton last week. The story is that he DID send a letter but it didn't come through until later. Here is the letter we finally received . . .
Our branch is about 25 people and it's easily one of the biggest sectors in the mission which
is crazy! There is so much potential for work that we can do here, i just don't know exactly
what to do right now!
My comp is 23 and from Curitiba Brazil and kinda has a crazy story! It's been super cool to
meet all these different people from different backgrounds and learn from them! We work
superduper differently so it has kinda taken some time to get into the swing of things but we
are learning lots!
I feel sad that i missed the Superbowl but a member told me who won so don't worry! To
celebrate super bowl Sunday we taught the restoration a couple times and i ate a bowl of
cereal!!! Nothing like the mission!
Kinda a crazy story, our Mamita and Papita are amazing people and are actually not members
of the church which is super crazy!!! We are currently teaching our Papito and we taught him
a couple lessons and he totally believes in our church and everything we teach him. He just
wants to receive an answer about baptism which is superduper cool! I feel like he is one of the
reasons that i was called to Calbuco!
Love you all,
Elder Townsend
Excerpts from the letter to family , . .
Family!
Today was one of the hottest days of my mission . . . 30 degrees celcius which i don't know
what that is in Fahrenheit. Also the sun is stronger here cause the shield that blocks the sun
from the earth does not exist in this mission! Also it's humid so it feels extra hot.
Tell the family i love them and thanks tons for being so good at writing me, love you
heaps. Spanish is coming good and now i am learning a little Portuguese with my comp haha.
Miss u guys. read scriptures!
Matthew 10:39
