LETTER #16 . . . these short and long years!

Hello everyone!!!

I wanted to start by saying happy thanksgiving and i hope you guys were super thankful this week!

With trainer and zone leaders in National Park
This week was fun and i got my companion to go on a couple runs with me which makes me feel healthy again! Also we have been really trying hard to contact more people and we have a lot of new investigators and a lot of new contacts! ALSO we went to the national park Cucoa which was super pretty!

Sorry that my letters are super boring but it's hard to talk about myself and the mission when i'm doing the same things every day and week and also i don't know who i am writing to right now!! But i do know everyone on my email list and if you ever read this know that i pray for you heaps!

Cool story . . . we were in a taxi and it had been a super long day with not much success. We saw these older ladies that were carrying these crazy big logs so we got out of the taxi and helped them and seriously it was so heavy but it was so cool and they said that we were an answer to their prayers and now we have 2 super cool investigators!

Best part of the mission so far has been being put in a place of so many cultures and beliefs and just trying my hardest to learn something from everyone and anyone! I challenge you all to try to learn something from everyone!

My Spanish doesn't feel like its getting better but i know very slowly it is! I can understand everything for the most part but it's still a pain!! I pray for patience!!!

I miss you all! One of my new favorite chapters is Helaman 5, you should all go read it because it has something for everyone!!! The Book of Mormon is true and i know that what i am doing for these short and long 2 years is for a very important purpose and i'm so grateful for this opportunity!!

Love you all,
Elder Townsend
