LETTER #14 . . . Send Favorite Scriptures!

Hello everyone! 

 I don't know who is reading these letters at this point but if you are, thanks lots!! The mission is such a crazy and such a cool mental journey but i am learning so much! I literally have 2 years of my life dedicated to learning and studying and serving and teaching people and i am supposed to forget about just about everything else!! If you are debating serving a mission i promise that whatever fears you have about it are normal and i promise that there are 0 negative outcomes of serving!!!

The work in Castro is kinda difficult as we don't have many investigators and we were in Puerto Varas for a couple days this last week because my comp had to get his wisdom teeth out! But when we are teaching and serving the time goes by super fast. This week we taught lessons in Spanish, English, and Creole and also tried communicating with people that only spoke German and also we met a deaf girl and one of the missionaries knows sign language but she ended up not even knowing sign language!!!! This city is just a big melting pot of cultures and people but it is so cool to be enveloped in all of this!! Genuinely a lot of days i forget I'm in southern Chile and this all just kinda feels like a big dream haha.

This week i went back and read the missionary scriptures in the beginning of Alma and so bad now i just want to work hard to become a better missionary!!! If you are reading this  please go read Alma 26 and pray before and after and i promise you will learn lots!!! 

I miss you all and i pray for you all!!!! Pray and read the scriptures!!! ALSO if you are reading this, you should email me your favorite scripture because i like to put your names in my scriptures by your scripture.

LETTER #19 . . . new comp and new investigators!!

Hello friends and family!  Miss u tons!!! This week i got a new companion and we started working super hard from the very first minute together! His name is Elder Arnett and he is from Arizona. i think it's kinda weird to be able to have normal conversation with someone throughout the day in my native language. I hope i'm not forgetting how to talk to people haha. This week we found and taught 11 new investigators in 3 days which are crazy numbers in Gamboa!! I think a couple of these people have totally been prepared for us and will get baptized! I have learned this week that if you want success that you have to face twice as much rejection. This week more than any other time in my mission i have seen so many doors slammed but also we met so many people ready for our message! Lesson= work hard + face rejection= success!!! LETTER #15 . . . HELLO Y'ALL!

Hi Y'All! This week i was getting my haircut with a cool member and I let him taze me with this cool police taser and my bum hurt the whole haircut so that was cool! :/  The weather is starting to get a little bit warmer which is so cool but it's still cold and rains just about every day haha!  I think it's hard for me to learn Spanish because i am trying to learn Chilean Spanish from a comp that's from Ecuador that mixes in Creole and English and Ecuador slang in his sentences haha but i am figuring it out and my Spanish really is SLOWLY getting better!  This week was really happy and the work is getting a little bit better because I am making my comp walk instead of taking taxis everywhere and we have been meeting so many people!! We try to go somewhere cool every pday but it's always bad weather but hopefully soon i will have cool pictures to show you guys!!!  I sometimes wake up and work out and just start reading scriptures for a couple hour...

LETTER #6 . . . last letter from Mexico MTC . . GOODBYE MTC!

Hello everyone!  Goodbye to the MTC and to this awesome district!   I miss you all and hope everyone is happy and healthy! The MTC is so humbling and has helped me so much to become disciplined but also i am going crazy just sitting here all day!! I check into recepcion to leave this place at 3am Monday morning and have an 8 hour flight to Santiago. When we get to Santiago we have a 21 hour layover and i think will be sleeping in a hotel. After the layover we have a 1-2 hour flight to Osorno and i am not really sure what happens after that but i will keep you all updated.  Bobo with Anne and John Pingree from the Seventy . . . guest speakers at their devotional! This week was by far one of the most boring weeks but i seriously still loved it so much and i am learning so much!
