LETTER #12 . . . TEMPLE DEDICATION
Hello all!!
This week was one of the most difficult but i am learning so much even through weeks like this! Also my friends are going on missions and this work is growing and it makes me so happy because everyone deserves a chance to hear this gospel!!!
This week was the Concepcion Temple Dedication and we went to all three sessions of the dedication because there were 6 different general authorities speaking throughout the 3 sessions (Pres. Nelson, Elder Stevenson, Bishop Causse and 3 members of the 70)!! President Nelson spoke and it's so cool to see how much a new temple that is still a 12 hour drive away impacts these peoples lives and they are so grateful for this gospel. Every time a session of the dedication would end you would just hear people crying and the spirit was so strong!!
We are teaching a man that is Buddhist and in return for us to be able to teach him we get to go to his Buddhism classes which are super cool. i love learning about other cultures and being here i love when people can just appreciate what other people believe in and are passionate about even if it does not align with your own beliefs!
One of my biggest worries about coming on the mission was not being able to listen to music but a member that is also a taxi driver has the exact same taste in music as me even though he doesn't know what any of the songs are saying in english, so i get to hear all the songs i listened to before and we share music which is superduper cool!
Anyways, i miss you all and hope you are praying and reading the scriptures lots cause it truly is the most important thing you can be doing right now!! Also if you want to know what i eat for 2 meals of the day then blend a banana with some milk and almonds and a handful of raspberries and just picture yourself shivering in southern chile and you will have a similar experience to my mission!!! :)

Excerpts from the family letter . . .
HELLO FAMILY-
It's kinda funny being here cause everyone things i'm so much older then i am and when i tell them i'm only 18 they just freak out and can't believe i am this far from home being so young haha! It is kinda crazy but i am doing it and i know that this church is true!
It's weird hearing about the family while i'm out here and it's weird to hear that life goes on outside of the mission! Everyone seems so busy but i miss you all and hope you all know how much i love you all!
It's crazy to hear about all my friends going on missions and receiving mission calls . . it makes me very happy! Awww I miss all the babies! Don't forget about me! Also remember how important the temple is and make the most of having a temple 5 minutes away and remember how many people in the world don't even have that opportunity!
