LETTER #10 . . . Concepcion temple and miracles!
Hi All,
Sometimes I feel like I am getting used to the mission but then we will have a super off day and I feel like I didn't learn a ton and I start to get super stressed but its kinda funny cause the only time the stress goes away is when I forget about myself and stop taking my own temperature!
This week i was kinda praying for a miracle because we had a couple off days. One day as my comp and I were walking to get into a taxi both with hands full of Book of Mormons I sat down in the taxi (that was blasting the song "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5) and dropped the books all over the driver and he just laughed and helped me pick them up and jokingly said gracias and took a book and me and my comp talked with him for a couple minutes and he said he had always had questions about this church!!! We now have a new investigador and I now have a new favorite song!
I feel like although the mission can be difficult at times that this mission is perfect for me and that this is exactly where I need to be right now! I feel blessed! A couple times a week we go to the church to play ping pong with the youth and they are all AMAZING at pingpong and soccer so that is super fun and makes time go by super fast and also the house i eat lunch at everyday has a couple guitars so those years of guitar lessons are now so worth it!

Yesterday during church, the youth in our Rama (ward) all went up and bore there testimonies just sobbing about how grateful they are and how beautiful and peaceful and clean the temple was! The Concepcion temple is just opening and it is almost everyone in our Rama's first time attending a temple and it's so cool to see how big of an impact it is having on everyone! It makes me sad that I didn't take advantage of having temples right next to my house, and regardless if you go into the temple or just go look at it, GO TO THE TEMPLE! Also remember how many people in this world don't even have the opportunity and or have to save up for years to get the money to fly to a temple!
Almost every single one of our investigators is Haitian and we all speak in 3 different languages. They are so humble and so receptive to learning about God and the gospel! We got 6 to come to church with us this past Sunday and although me and the rest of the Haitianos barely understood anything throughout the 3 ours of church it's so cool to see the people here just embrace us! This church is so true and it doesnt matter what language you speak because everyone can speak and be spoken to through the spirit!
Anyways, we never have a ton of time to write but know that i love you all! Remember to write in your journals and read scriptures and pray! If you haven't read the BOM yet, READ IT!
