LETTER #5 . . . I FEEL LIKE A DAD!

Hi All,

No offense to dads cause i love them but i have only been on a mission for a couple weeks and i am already starting to feel like a DAD, but i love it. I feel like i have already learned so much and i have not even left the MTC yet.

CCHS boys at the Mexico City Temple
Today we got to go to the temple and it will be my last time in a temple for the next 2 years which is kinda sad. There is seriously such a cool spirit with temples and i love everything about them. And also it's nice to leave the walls of the MTC even if it's for just a minute.

I have come to find that Mexico City is crazzzzy as the cars are driving an inch away from each other and you make eye contact with someone in the car next to you as you are about an inch apart and you just stare at each other for a couple seconds haha.

The mission so far has been such a different but such a cool but also such a different experience, and although sometimes i just want to be in Utah. I would not give up this time in my life for anything and it's so cool devoting your life to what you believe in.

District fun!
Honestly this week was super similar and kinda blurring into the other weeks and days so sorry if you are bored reading this!! This week the whole district was kinda having a low day so we all got together and did companionship blessings and also one of the hermanas got super sick so we came together as a district and gave her a blessing. My testimony of blessings has grown so much being out here and it honestly can make such a difference and can help you in your life no matter what you are going through!
Elders Ormond, Richards, Bingham and Townsend!

Idk if it has become real yet because i am still seeing kids from corner canyon all over the MTC but in about a week i will be going out to the field! I pray peace about this whole thing because i don't feel that confident with my Spanish but the gift of tongues really is real and sometimes in lessons i'll just say words that i didnt even know i knew and somehow it just makes sense with what i am saying. Also my testimony of having love and charity and doing service has strengthened so much being out here. i am so passionate about doing everything with love.

Last trip to the temple for 2 years . . . August 7, 2018

Remember to read the scriptures and to pray! I love and miss you guys!

Love,
Elder Townsend

PS.  We go to the gym every morning for an hourish and we lift weights and every night we do pushups and situps! Also thank you so much for the letters! i love them so much and please send me more pictures in my next package!
