LETTER #2 from Mexico MTC . . . first P-day!

HOW ARE YOU GUYS???
Saying goodbye to Luke!

I MISS YOU ALL SO SO MUCH. Weeks go by incredibly fast and days go by incredibly slow and you really don't understand what that means until you are actually out here. Mexico City is so crazy . . it is a super colorful, super dirty city and it rains so hard every single day, and it has every single day that I've been out here!

A couple nights ago my room was talking about serial killers and out of no where my companion gets out of his bed and asked me for a blessing!! I'VE NEVER GIVEN A BLESSING hahaha but it was one of the coolest things that has happened and gave me a lot peace about being out here.

Today we got to leave this beautiful prison oasis and go on a drive through Mexico City where huge buses are driving inches away from each other. The temple was so so pretty and cleared my mind from everything we have been doing.

I have come to find that missions don't feel like you picture them to feel while you're growing up! I still feel like Bobo but it's like a super spiritual and a little more mature Bobo hahaha.

With Elder Ormond and Elder Richards
Elder Richards (Payton Richards) and Elder Ormond (Dillon Ormond) are in my district and that is crazy because we all went to the same high school together and now we spend every waking minute together. My companion's name is Elder Bingham (i call him BIG BING) and he is a quiet, super humble guy and it's been fun to get to know him and his humor. ALSO I have gained 3.5 pounds out here but DO NOT WORRY!!!! I have been eating super healthy and getting my district to have "workout time" every single night. I must have gained that weight in muscle, and i actually feel like I am in the best shape ever.
His district

MTC is so humbling and also difficult but it is teaching me how to work hard. I have been trying my hardest to be very disiplined just in everything like praying, working out, waking up, washing clothes and i am learning a ton. It is so hard to feel the spirit while following an agenda every day but when i have felt the spirit it has been awesome. Elder Bednar comes next Friday which will be very cool!

Being out here has made me realize how much my parents and friends do for me and I think that you guys really are the best! Mi espanol es no bueno pero I am trying my hardest and I even made flashcards to study. This experience has been so humbling and the Bobo in 2 years will be a much much better person. No matter what background or religion or whoever you are, I think that everyone needs to forget themselves at some point and just go to work serving and this mission has really helped me to realize that. I love you all and I promise that when I have more time I will write better, more thought out letters. The church is true :)
